Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix adalah film petualangan fantasi, berdasarkan novel dengan nama yang sama, yang tulis oleh J.K. Rowling . Disutradarai oleh David Yates, ini adalah film kelima di seri Harry Potter populer. Naskahnya ditulis oleh Michael Goldenberg, yang menggantikan Steve Kloves, penulis keempat film sebelumnya. Harry Potter has finally arrived today in theaters.
The pivotal fourth novel in the seven-part tale of Harry Potter's training as a wizard and his coming of age. Harry wants to get away from the pernicious Dursleys and go to the intrnational Quidditch Cup with Hermione, Ron, and the Weasleys.
He wants to dream Cho Chang, his crush (and maybe do more than dream). He wants to find out about the mysterious event that's supposed to take place at Hogwarts this year, an event involving two other rival schools of magic, and a competition that hasn't happened for a hundred years, wants to be a normal, fourteen-year-old wizard.
Unfortunately for Harry Potter, he's not normal, even by wizarding standards. And in his case, different can be deadly. Be sure and read Daniels Harry Potter Review which has already had almost 90,000 reads by Potter fans।
I must admit to never really getting into the whole Harry Potter thing, yes, shame on me! For some strange reason, when EA released 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' the Sony PS3, I was drawn to it like a magnet and just had to take a look.
Previous incarnations of the Harry Potter games seemed to lack something in the magic department, they just seemed to try and do too much magic. In this latest offering EA have nailed it right on the head, the atmosphere of the whole game is spot on, you really feel like you are right there with Harry and the gang in Hogwarts. This feeling is mainly due to the superb graphics and textures that are very detailed and accurate.
To keep the game moving along you have to complete over 30 tasks, learning spells along the way. You also unlock discovery points which in turn make your spells even more powerful. This allows you to unlock even more secrets and certainly kept my interest locked in. There are plenty of battles to be won, which have you twirling your wand, casting spells to defeat nasty kids and even the Dark Lord. During these spell casting battles, you will be impressed by the graphics, and the animation of Harry who reacts in some really cool ways to victory or defeat. Of course the main objective is to defeat your opponent, but paralyzing them is very effective.
The PS3 adds some six-axis controller features, and although they don't seem that accurate, being able to wave your controller to wave Harry's wand is a nice touch. I do not think Sony's six-axis will ever be that accurate, so it was nice to see EA at least implement it in some way.
In summary, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a nice rounded game. Interesting game play, different on-screen battles (rather than awful cut scenes), a nice control method and good sound. Above all, what really stands out is the atmosphere of the game. It really makes you feel part of it, and has you coming back for more. This is certainly one you won't put down until you have finished it.

Sinopsis :
Tidak banyak penyihir yang percaya (atau mau percaya) bahwa Voldermort telah kembali, termasuk Kementerian Sihir. Harry dan Dumbledore dianggap menyebar kabar bohong dan dianggap terganggu jiwanya. Meskipun demikian, masih banyak orang yang percaya pada Dumbledore, dan mereka inilah yang tergabung dalam Orde Phoenix. Namun karena situasi belum memungkinkan, mereka bergerak secara diam-diam untuk menghindari kecurigaan dari Kementerian. Mereka menggunakan kediaman Sirius, Grimmauld Place nomer 12 sebagai Markas Besar, sehingga Sirius tidak lagi dalam pelarian (tapi tetap bersembunyi karena pihak kementrian masih mencarinya).
Sementara itu, Harry yang diawasi siang-malam (tanpa sepengetahuannya) oleh anggota Orde, semakin sering mengalami sakit pada bekas lukanya. Emosinya sering tak terkendali. Pada suatu malam ia dikejutkan dengan hadirnya dementor di Privet Drive, yang hendak menyerang dirinya dan Dudley. Untunglah ia berhasil menghasilkan patronus untuk melawan mereka. Namun akibat dari hal ini, dia nyaris diusir oleh pamannya (karena dikira menyerang Dudley), menghadapi persidangan di Kementerian Sihir dan terancam dikeluarkan dari Hogwarts.
Di persidangan tak seorangpun percaya bahwa ada Dementor berkeliaran di daerah Muggle. Tapi ketika Dumbledore mengatakan bahwa Kementerian tidak punya hak untuk mencampuri urusan sekolah, termasuk dalam hal ini mengeluarkan sorang murid, Harry pun bebas dari segala tuduhan.
Namun mimpi buruk Harry masih berlanjut. Untuk pertama kalinya dalam 5 tahun, Harry diajar oleh seorang guru Pertahanan Terhadap Ilmu Hitam yang berasal dari Kementerian Sihir, Dolores. Harry berulang kali mendapat detensi karena mengatakan bahwa Voldermort telah kembali. Harry dan seluruh murid kelas 5 akan menjalani ujian OWL, dimana mereka sudah harus berpikir pelajaran apa saja yang akan (dan mau) menerima mereka di kelas 6, serta tentang karir apa yang mereka minati selepas sekolah. Di tengah tekanan Umbridge dan segala dekritnya, Harry, atas dukungan penuh dari Ron dan Hermione, memimpin sekelompok anak untuk mempraktekkan pertahanan terhadap ilmu hitam dalam sebuah kelompok yang mereka namai Laskar Dumbledore (LD). LD beranggotakan cukup banyak anak, selain Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, Luna Lovegood, Fred & George, Cho Chang, dan beberapa anak dari asrama lain yang kelihatannya lebih ingin tahu apakah benar pikiran Harry terganggu seperti yang diberitakan koran-koran, atau ingin tahu cerita yang sebenarnya tentang kematian Cedric dan kembalinya Voldermort.
Penglihatan yang dialami Harry akhirnya sampai pada kesimpulan bahwa dia dan Voldermort, entah bagaimana, saling terhubung. Harry merasakan amarah dan kesenangan Voldermort. Suatu saat hal ini menguntungkan, karena menyelamatkan Arthur Weasley dari maut. Tapi Dumbledore kemudian menugaskan Snape untuk mengajari Occlumency, untuk menutup pikirannya dari Voldermort. Harry dan Snape yang sama-sama tidak senang dengan hal ini, tetap melakukannya, sampai suatu saat Harry memasuki Pensieve Snape dan mendapati alasan mengapa ia begitu membenci ayahnya dan Sirius. Snape sangat sangat marah ketika memergoki Harry dan menolak untuk mengajarinya sejak saat itu.
Hagrid yang baru saja kembali setelah sekian lama pergi, ternyata membawa serta Grawp, adiknya yang raksasa asli. Ia dan Madame Maxime sebenarnya ditugasi Dumbledore untuk mendekati para raksasa agar tidak bergabung dengan Voldermort. Tapi tidak berhasil, karena ternyata para Pelahap Maut telah mendekati mereka terlebih dahulu. Ketika pulang, Hagrid membawa Grawp (karena ibu mereka telah meninggal) yang bertubuh mungil (untuk ukuran raksasa).
Klimaks dari seri ke-5 ini adalah pertempuran di Kementerian Sihir. Harry dipancing untuk pergi ke Kementerian Sihir, di mana ternyata di sana sudah menunggu para Pelahap Maut. Mereka menjebak Harry untuk mengambil Ramalan di Departemen Misteri. Ramalan tentang dirinya dan Voldermort. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna dan Neville berusaha menyelamatkan diri dari serangan para Pelahap Maut, ketika sejumlah anggota Orde Phoenix datang membantu. Terjadilah pertempuran sengit, dimana akhirnya Sirius terbunuh.
Di akhir cerita Dumbledore memberitahu Harry tentang Ramalan tersebut, yang ternyata dibuat oleh Professor Trelawney, bahwa untuk bertahan hidup, ia dan Voldermort harus saling membunuh, karena yang satu tidak bisa bertahan bila yang satu tetap hidup.
